You Can Play Supports NWHL in Landmark Gender Policy

Spread the word

The NWHL has been a committed partner of You Can Play and is committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for its players, coaches, and fans. We are proud of the NWHL policy for the inclusion of transgender athletes in the league, and believe it to be the most inclusive gender policy in women’s professional sports.

“It comes down to respect,” says Chris Mosier, You Can Play Vice President. “When we respect a player’s identity, name, and pronoun, we are creating a space where athletes can show up as their authentic self, allowing them to be better players, teammates, and leaders.”

You Can Play, along with our partners at NCLR, consulted on the policy.
