The Rochester Americans join the You Can Play Project in supporting equality for all athletes, coaches, staff and fans, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. One of the oldest hockey teams in the American Hockey League, the Amerks have been playing in Rochester since 1956, winning the Calder Cup six times. An affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres, the Americans become the sixth AHL affiliate to support You Can Play.
