Hartwick College joins You Can Play with a video that promotes inclusion and diversity for all athletes, coaches and fans. Led by athletic director Dr. Kim Fierke, Hartwick stresses the fact that you can play at Hartwick College regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender, or religious beliefs. This liberal arts school located in the northern foothills of Oneonta, NY only has around 1,500 students but their messge is strong: If you can play, you can play.

The Hawks video features student athletes from sports including football, soccer, lacrosse, equestrian, and swimming. The Hawks proudly wear royal blue and white, and their mascot is Swoop the Hawk. They are a Division III member of the NCAA and are a member of the Empire 8 conference. The Hawks mens soccer team won the NCAA Division I title in 1977. Hartwick has students from 30 different states and 22 different countries.
