Cal Clutterbuck, the hard-hitting forward of the Minnesota Wild, speaks on behalf of LGBT athletes in sports.
After a year with the AHL level Houston Aeros, Cal broke into the Wild lineup and solidified his position as a forward and as a fan favorite in “The State of Hockey.”
The Welland, Ontario native, and 2006 draft pick, has led the NHL in hits in three of the last four seasons, averaging 325 hits per season.
Clutterbuck is looking to create equality for athletes and fans regardless of sexual orientation: “I’ll accept all teammates with the heart, talent and skill.”
