Hey Dan – and Jennifer, Sandra, Heather, Ryan, Dana, Todd, John, Audrey, Amanda, Kristin, Amber, Tricia, Dustin, Yvonne, and everyone at the Arcus Foundation.
Thank you for what you’ve done for us. You’ve given Patrick the opportunity to get his Twitter fingers all loosened up so he can live Tweet a hockey classic. You’ve helped us meet our goal of $25,000 as part of the Arcus Foundation challenge. And, most importantly, you’ve given athletes and fans the chance to someday play and watch the sports they love without the fear that they’ll be discriminated against or bullied because they might be gay, lesbian or transgender.
It’s been an amazing four days. We’ve said before that Brian, Glenn, Patrick and Wade are better at beer drinking and sports talk than fundraising, but you’ve made this feel like a lot less work . The notes that we get, the donations, and the overall support from across the US, Canada and from other countries are, simply, humbling.
We’re going to take a couple of days off to enjoy family and friends, but we’ll be wrapping up the year and looking ahead to 2014. Before we do that, all of us at You Can Play wish everyone a happy holiday season.
