University of the Pacific

The University of the Pacific supports the mission of the You Can Play Project.

The University of the Pacific is a private university located in Stockton, California, near the San Francisco Bay Area. While Pacific is the newest addition to the West Coast Conference, it is also the oldest chartered university in the state of California. Its athletic department is home to 18 different men’s and women’s sports teams, including water polo, field hockey, and sand volleyball.

The school's video features numerous athletes from the many different sports teams in Pacific Athletics, along with a few head coaches and the athletic director and the Tigers made this video in suppor of You Can Play because they wanted to join the fight in ending discrimination in all levels of athletics. The Tigers hope that this video will help them to show all current and incoming student athletes that they welcome anyone that can help better their athletics program, regardless of their race, sexuality, gender, nationality, or religion.

Welcome to the You Can Play huddle, Tigers.
